GIS Project Senior Analyst
Location: Sacramento, CA
Position Description: GeoPrise is seeking a talented and experienced individual possessing a demonstrated proficiency in the creation and customization of GIS applications for both the desktop and enterprise web-based systems. Qualified candidates will be well skilled in the analysis of client business practices in order to determine geospatial needs and effectively scope design and develop GIS application solutions. Strong communication skills are essential, (written, verbal, and client communication), since this position requires coordination of both technical and administrative aspects of project development.
Desired Qualifications: B.S. in Computer Science, GIS, Engineering, or closely related field; 3-5 years experience customizing ArcIMS and/or development using C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, XML, ArcXML, VB; extensive knowledge of web-based protocol; additional experience in GIS application development using ArcObjects; ability to understand object model diagrams and APIs; good interpersonal communication skills.
Additionally Desired Qualifications: Oracle, SQL Server, ArcSDE, geodatabase experience a plus, experience in developing within the Microsoft .NET application framework preferably C#.

Position Description: GeoPrise is seeking a talented and experienced individual to fill a GIS Senior Analyst position working from our Corona, California regional office. We are looking for a candidate with a strong work ethic and the ability to work with all levels of clients and associates.
Desired Qualifications: Minimum of a 4-year degree in Geography and/or Information Technology or a related field with exposure to Geographic Information Systems (GIS). A minimum of four years of experience managing IT/GIS projects. Strong management and communications skills (oral and written) are required. Experience with GIS application deployment, GIS data development and project management. Must be a self starter and be familiar with municipal/regional government GIS requirements and work processes.
Position Responsibilities: Project Analysts have day-to-day responsibility for the technical activities of client projects. They are responsible for all aspects of client GIS projects, including designing and implementing GIS-related computer applications; ensuring system compatibility with existing information systems; enhancing spatial data capabilities and resources; researches and recommends new procedures and technologies; installs and upgrades GIS systems and components; and monitors and recommends resource enhancements.
Effective system development and operations require knowledge of computer science and GIS-related applications; image analysis, photo interpretation, map automation procedures, and map projection properties and coordinate systems; and knowledge of the principles of geography and cartography, work with clients to perform on-site GIS project work, deploy and maintain GeoPrise.Net Web based GIS solutions, maintain schedule and work plan.
